On Friday, 26 July 2026, the LSTM participated in the annual CBI football tournament for the first time in many years, competing as ‘Dynamo Druckverlust’. In the height of summer, with temperatures on the pitches reaching around 40°C, the team – made up of PhD students and undergraduates – fought heroically hard in some thrilling matches. The newly obtained LSTM Chair jerseys were worn for the first time. In the end, the LSTM achieved the best placing among all the participating Institute teams. Congrats go out to the winner of the tournament, ‘Lions and Suns’. We would like to thank the CBI Student Council for hosting and organising the event, and we have already begun preparations for next year.
