Institute of Fluid Mechanics (LSTM)
Welcome to the website of the Institute of Fluid Mechanics at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. We are a dedicated academic unit of the Department of Chemical and Bioengineering, engaged in research and education on both laminar and turbulent transport of mass, momentum, and energy in natural and technical processes.
In the realm of education, we offer our students over 30 courses across various programs including Chemical and Bioengineering, Life Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering – Sustainable Chemical Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, Advanced Materials and Processes, Computational Engineering, and Medical Engineering.
